- Validate and test mechanical, electrical, and automation system designs based on project requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, IO lists, pneumatic schematics, and system layouts.
- Define technical specifications for machine vision, automation equipment, robotics systems, jigs, fixtures, and machine modules.
- Lead and guide technicians during machine assembly, wiring, and integration activities.
- Ensure system design complies with safety standards, ISO requirements, and Codetrace engineering practices.
Electrical, Control & Automation Engineering
- Comprehensive understanding on electrical control panels, PLC I/O architecture, and field wiring concepts.
- Select suitable sensors, actuators, drives, PLCs, safety components, and communication protocols.
- Perform PLC, HMI, and basic motion or vision system configuration and debugging.
- Lead troubleshooting of electrical, control, and system-level issues using structured root cause analysis.
- Validate electrical safety, grounding, insulation, and system robustness before commissioning.
- Lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities with customers.
- Execution as per company’s test plans, commissioning checklists, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform system calibration, tuning, and performance validation.
- Resolve on‑site technical issues related to system integration, performance, or reliability.
- Act as the main technical point of contact during installation and commissioning phases.
Maintenance, Reliability & Technical Support
- Analyze recurring machine failures and propose corrective and preventive engineering solutions.
- Support service and maintenance teams with advanced troubleshooting and upgrades.
- Recommend design improvements to enhance machine reliability, uptime, and serviceability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
- Mechanical drawings
- SOPs and maintenance manuals
- Ensure documentation accuracy for audits, customer handover, and internal references.
- Maintain engineering change records and version control.
Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, software, vision, procurement, and production teams.
- Support proposal preparation, technical clarifications, and cost estimations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on technical evaluations and troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with customers on technical matters.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure systems comply with company SOPs, ISO, SEMI, OSHA/DOSH, and customer‑specific standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, FMEA, and safety reviews where required.
- Lead by example in safety practices and engineering discipline.
- Stay updated on automation, robotics, and machine vision technologies.
- Drive engineering improvements in design standards, build quality, and commissioning efficiency.
- Contribute to Codetrace’s engineering best practices and technical roadmap.
