Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools, jig, and fixtures required for manufacturing processes. Ensure designs meet production and quality requirements.
• Oversee the fabrication and assembly of tooling, jig, and fixtures including working with vendors and supplier to source components and materials.
• Evaluate and improve existing tooling and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality and productivity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tooling issues during production. Implement corrective action as needed.
• Be the initiator to overcome the technical issue and gather technical support from other departments or outsiders if necessary.
• Conduct testing and validation of new and modified tools to ensure they perform as required.
• Work with Process Engineer to fabricate tools, jig, and fixtures and improve processes in order to improve quality and output.
• Liaise with other department functions on any technical issue and process improvement.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on root cause analysis of quality issues.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems on the production floor including rework activities.
• Develop innovative and a cost-effective solution.
• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Work with wider team during new product, new customer or new technologies development.
• Ensure absolute adherence to all Quality system and Company Safety System requirement.
• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation including FMEA, PCP, and WI for new product and review from time to time to ensure the effectiveness.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines and project specifications are met.
• Study on Continuous Improvement Program related to process improvement.
