Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate laser cutting machine at the beginning of each shift.
• Create and modify technical drawing using CAD software.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Operate laser cutting equipment with precision.
• Coordinate with teammates, leaders, and supervisors.
• Communicate progress to leaders and supervisors.
• Provide on-the-job guidance to team members.
• Perform safety checks on machines.
• Conduct inspection of drawings and laser-cut parts.
• Ensure optimal machine setup for different materials.

Job description

1. Set up and calibrate laser cutting machine at the beginning of each shift to ensure optimal performance.
2. Create and modify technical drawing using CAD software based on order requirements and production specifications.
3. Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints and technical instructions to prepare cutting files and layouts.
4. Operate laser cutting equipment with precision, ensuring quality, accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
5. Coordinate with teammates, leaders, and supervisors to ensure production schedules and design requirements are clearly understood and met.
6. Able to communicate and provide relevant information regarding progress to leaders and supervisors.
7. Provide on-the-job guidance and support to team members relating to laser skills.
8. Perform safety checks on machines used.
9. Conduct checking and inspection of drawings and laser-cut parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
10. Ensure optimal laser machine setup and parameter setting for different materials.
