Job summary

A technology and engineering firm in Malaysia is looking for a candidate to prepare technical proposals for construction projects. The role involves supporting the Technical Sales team, coordinating specifications, and updating project documentation. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Engineering or Architectural fields and has two years of experience in the construction industry. Familiarity with CAD and BIM is preferred, as the position demands a good understanding of construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working experience in the construction/design industry.
• Previous design experience in the construction industry is a plus.

• Support Technical Sales Consultant/Manager on large tenders.
• Produce and coordinate technical specifications and datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Preparing both technical proposals for small to large scale projects, which include the following tasks:
  • Preparing technical scheme, schematics, pipe sizing, taking off, compile material list, key‑in M1(PAS) cost data / cost items.
  • Prepare technical proposal drawings, tender preparation, vetting and submission.
  • Complete design and proposal of non‑pressure rainwater drainage.
  • Reverse engineering of existing gravity rainwater design for consultant’s comparison.
• Supporting Technical Sales Consultant / Manager on large scale tender.
• Specification Selling
  • Support Technical sales and consultant in their pre‑tender / specification selling by:
    • Produce, coordinate and complied BQ, technical specification, datasheets for specific proposal.
    • Produce system tender drawing in CAD drawings for architect’s submission.
    • Produce System tender drawing in BIM.
• Update Reports
  • To support consultant and executive in updating tender report, quarterly projection report, secured project report in excel format.
  • Directly assisting technical sales manager and consultant in following up with all proposal status report when required.
• Project Handover (for Pas projects)
  • To support technical sales consultant in preparing and compiling handover documents such as PICS, Drawings, Proposal Documents, Scope of work confirmation etc.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma in Engineering/ Architectural/ Construction field.
• Min. 2 years working experience in construction/ design industry.
• Previous design experience in Construction industry is an added advantage.
• Able to read and comprehend construction / architectural drawings.
