Key Responsibilities
As a Technical & Delivery Manager, you will oversee technical project delivery and lead a team of engineers to ensure successful outcomes. Your responsibilities include:
- Delivery Leadership & Execution
- Leading and managing technical delivery for projects involving enterprise servers, storage, virtualization platforms, backup, disaster recovery, and automation solutions.
- Owning delivery outcomes including timeline, quality, customer satisfaction, and project sign-off.
- Establishing and enforcing delivery discipline through deployment checklists, documentation standards, change control, and handover procedures.
- Driving faster project completion and reducing rework through standardization and templates.
- Technical Team Management
- Leading a team of engineers and overseeing day-to-day delivery operations.
- Coaching, training, and developing engineers in technical capability and customer professionalism.
- Planning resource allocation based on project pipeline and priorities.
- Conducting performance feedback, skills mapping, and certification planning.
- Customer Engagement & Service Mindset
- Acting as the senior technical point of contact for key customers and escalations.
- Leading technical discussions with customers on deployment planning, risk and change management, troubleshooting, and incident support.
- Maintaining a service-oriented approach, balancing customer needs with company standards, and managing scope through professional change control.
- Process Improvement & Business Contribution
- Collaborating with management to identify new service offerings and operational improvements to increase efficiency and margins.
- Supporting pre-sales activities with technical validation, project approach, and delivery feasibility.
- Contributing to building a stronger recurring services engine, including support tiers, SLAs, and renewals.
Job Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in enterprise IT infrastructure delivery (servers, storage, backup).
- At least 3 years in a people management role (team lead, manager, or delivery manager).
- Strong hands-on deployment background with customer site experience.
- Solid expertise in enterprise servers, storage solutions, backup and recovery architecture, and automation using Red Hat Ansible or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with confidence in leading technical engagements.
- Proven project execution discipline including planning, documentation, sign-off, and stakeholder management.
Preferred Certifications
- Red Hat / Ansible certifications.
- Vendor certifications in IBM, HPE, or Lenovo.
- Backup certifications such as Veeam and/or Commvault.
- PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification (optional).
