Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks a candidate for a role in polymer engineering, based in Penang, Malaysia. You will assist in design and development, manage workshops, and support sales and project activities. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Polymer Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in plastic compound disciplines. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in plastic compound or related downstream extrusion.
• Managerial experience of at least 1-2 years.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To assist the Manager in executing design and development Activities.
• Responsible on leading workshop team to manage workshop human resources allocation and facilities matter.
• To support Manager in managing team member’s project activity, provide appropriate training and problem solving activities.
• To support sales in product marketing and meeting customer when required either at local or oversea.
• To support perform project priority, resources, progress management effectively.
• Able to support trouble-shoot production process (polymer compounding) and provide technical support.

Qualifications

• Education Background: Bachelor in Chemical / Polymer Engineering, Applied Chemistry (polymer)
• Experience: Min 5 years of industry experiences in the discipline of plastic compound or related downstream extrusion activities, managerial exp (min 1-2 years)
• Required Skills: Applicants with engineering plastic knowledge will be an added advantage. Proficiency in extrusion, injection moulding, polymer-related testing methods, and field applications. Demonstrated supervisory experience with strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions teams. Willing to travel (china, taiwan?)
