Job description

We are looking for a highly driven Team Member, Equity Capital Markets (ECM) to join our Investment Banking Division at RHB Bank. In this role, you will be responsible for originating and executing equity fundraising (EFR) mandates, managing syndication and distribution processes, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will also play a key part in supporting client relationships, providing market insights, and contributing to the growth of our ECM business.

What you will be doing

Equity Capital Markets (ECM)

• Originate and develop equity fundraising (EFR) proposals for corporate clients, and prepare comprehensive pitch materials.
• Manage and execute EFR mandates, ensuring quality delivery within regulatory and operational requirements.
• Evaluate and assess the suitability and risks of equity underwriting proposals.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relating to share offerings.
• Collaborate with team members and provide coaching or mentorship to subordinates.

Syndicate

• Oversee equity syndication and distribution processes for ECM deals.
• Lead block sell-down efforts in consultation with ECM, Research, Investment Execution, and Coverage teams.
• Maintain strong working relationships with buy-side clients.
• Monitor regional equity deal flows and provide market intelligence on trends and themes to the ECM team.
• Handle administrative tasks related to the Equity Syndicate function, including policy, procedure, and SOP documentation in line with firm and regulatory standards.

What we’re looking for

• A recognized degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Investment, Fund Management, Economics, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in syndication or distribution within investment banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets rules, requirements, and regulations.
• A keen interest in capital market activities and developments.
