1. Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates must possess strong academic credentials alongside a solid Islamic foundation:
- Education: Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in STEM, Bahasa Melayu, English, Early Childhood Education, or a professional certificate from a recognized body.
- Islamic Background: Highly educated in Islamic studies and actively applies the Muslimah way of life in daily conduct.
- Experience: Minimum proven working experience as a teacher.
- Passion & Personality: Must possess passion and love for children, with the flexibility to adapt to school needs.
- Communication: Ability to speak clearly to students, parents, and the support team. Good command of oral and written English.
- Advantage: Applicants who can start immediately and possess their own transport/driving license will have an added advantage. As we have other Centre willing to be allocated within the premises.
2. Knowledge, Skills & Integration
Teachers at QIIS are expected to go beyond standard teaching by integrating values and faith:
- Integrated Learning (Naqli & Aqli): Ability to integrate academic subjects (Science, Math, Language) with Quranic verses and Islamic values & capable of instilling Tadabbur (reflection) in lessons to nurture the students' faith.
- 21st Century Pedagogy: Thorough knowledge of 21st-century learning practices, methods, and techniques , as well as the latest child development theories.
- Creative Instruction: Must work creatively with different learning styles and utilize artistic teaching abilities to get the most out of each student.
- Engagement: Strong instructional skills to maintain students' attention using a variety of activities (songs, stories, media, structured games, etc.).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), editing Canva.
Responsibilities
Job Scope & Responsibilities
A. Teaching & Learning
- Lesson Planning: Design monthly/weekly lesson plans according to school standards, ensuring the integration of Islamic perspectives into the curriculum.
- Academic Foundations: Teach academic skills, including letter recognition, phonics, and phonemic awareness. Help students learn to read and write.
- Holistic Development: Develop students' social skills, science knowledge, arts and humanities, practical living, and social studies.
- Active Learning: Lead students through fun, creative play, and hands‑on activities to motivate and stimulate their abilities.
B. Character Building & Classroom Management
- Nurturing Values: Monitor children's interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing while modeling good Islamic character (Akhlaq).
- Resource Management: Organize learning materials and resources effectively.
- Assessment: Assess student performance and progress regularly to ensure skill mastery.
C. Operations & Collaboration
- Parental Engagement: Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information regarding their child's progress.
- Team Support: Assist the Principal and Academic Consultant in operations, projects, and duties.
- Compliance: Follow all guidelines, SOPs, safety regulations , and daily timetables.
- Participation: Take charge of or participate in student activities, projects, and special events.
