Job summary

A recruitment agency in Selangor is seeking a tax compliance professional with 2-3 years of experience. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, assisting with tax strategies, and managing financial data. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and is proficient in accounting software. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Experience in the F&B industry is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in tax-focused and accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Experience in F&B industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax and SST.
  • Assist in preparation of tax computations for income tax and withholding tax.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Closing of account and maintaining accurate financial statements.
  • Review and analyze financial data.
  • Assist in annual budget and forecasts preparation.
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and government authorities.

Job description
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including but not limited to corporate income tax, SST, and other applicable taxes.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax computations, including but not limited to income tax, withholding tax, and SST.
  • Assist in the transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
  • Closing of account, prepare and maintain accurate financial statement and relevant working schedule.
  • Review and analyse financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
  • Liaise with tax agent, auditor, company secretary and government authorities for company related matters.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned by management/supervisor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the tax‑focused role and accounting roles, with strong understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax and SST regulations.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in F&B industry is preferred, but not required.
