Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Malaysia is looking for a liaison to work closely with Korean clients. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and proficiency in both Korean and English. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or large corporation. The position emphasizes collaboration, effective communication, and the ability to navigate complex client needs, contributing to service developments and ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or large corporation in Korea or Malaysia.
  • Additional proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Work You’ll Do
  • Initiate and align business strategies with Korean clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Korean clients
  • Act as a key liaison between Deloitte Tax Services (DTS) and Korean clients to ensure accurate advice and high‑quality service delivery
  • Assist in developing internal transaction mechanisms in line with Malaysian Government guidelines
  • Advise clients on efficient supply chain structures in compliance with Malaysian regulations
  • Manage Korean client requests and expectations in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Ensure smooth service delivery by monitoring portfolio progress, supporting Malaysian colleagues, and communicating with clients on key matters
  • Monitor billing and collection matters
  • Support Korean beetje projects and business development initiatives
  • Identify potential Korean clients and assist in promoting DTS services
  • Contribute to service development initiatives for Korean clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Taxation, Business Administration, or related disciplines from a recognized university, or relevant professional qualifications
  • Native Koreanengr speaker with strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Additional proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or large corporation in Korea or Malaysia
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and people management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
