Job summary

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, related services, and hardware appliances at both the hardware and OS level.

• Provide 1st-level support for Storage Systems, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability.

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 E3 and Azure AD environments.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with database, network, and security engineering tasks as required.

• Identify opportunities to automate operational and system tasks to improve efficiency.

• Continuously fine‑tune and optimize system, security, network, and database performance.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain system hardening measures that strengthen security while remaining cost‑effective.

• Ensure all systems comply with IT security guidelines, policies, and the findings of internal/external audits.

• Follow industry best practices, internal standards, and market‑leading recommendations in architecture, design, and implementation.

Operational Responsibilities

• Take a hands‑on role in supporting systems, services, and infrastructure as needed.

• Supervise and coordinate external consultants involved in service delivery.

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of hardware, firmware, and system‑related software, ensuring appropriate procedures and documentation are in place.

• Manage and optimize contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), focusing on service quality, value for money, and alignment with ISO27000 and ISO14298 processes.

• Ensure availability of accurate and timely management information and provide regular reporting to the Head of Unit and Head of Division.

• Monitor, assess, and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.

Process & Governance

• Ensure implementation and adherence to processes and procedures, especially Incident Management and Configuration/Change Management, using ITSM and ITIL lifecycle methodologies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within a data centre environment.

• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, and Linux operating systems.

• Proficiency in PowerShell or Shell scripting (e.g., Bash) for automation and system administration tasks.
