Job Accountabilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the systems, hardware and software (including printers, copiers).
• Manage office networks and other IT related services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Ali Cloud and managed services).
• Assist in the standardisation of hardware and software throughout the business to reduce costs and support.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on all tasks and procedures required for the efficient operation and management of IT resources.
• Continuously manage and monitor all services provided by third parties to ensure that they meet agreed SLA’s.
• Provide local and remote users with the necessary hardware, software services for the performance of their job in line with agreed company policies.
• Comply with policies and procedures to minimise downtime of essential systems and services.
• Troubleshoot problems or issues and resolve any infrastructure failures internally or with approved external support companies.
• Ensure that the backup, archiving and disaster recovery plans are kept up to date with changes to the infrastructure.
• Plan and implement methods to protect the safety and security of the Group's infrastructure from internal or external threats.
• Ensure that the department adheres to its policies, internal and external and legal obligations.
• Regularly inform and share the IT services & infra billings prior to renewal.
• Assist in gathering different pricing and functionality from providers for requested services to aid decision making.
• Evolve the computing environment to meet future demands.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in IT System and Network Administration.
• Familiar with Linux (Ubuntu), Windows.
• Experience in database setup: MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL or equivalent.
• Strong networking fundamentals, good analytical and excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following clouds would be an added advantage: AWS, AlibabaCloud, Google Cloud.
• AWS SysOps Associate certificate, CompTIA A+ certificate, or equivalent would be an added advantage.
• Experience in Insurance, Banking and Finance would be an added advantage.
