Job description

The Senior System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software, and related infrastructure.

Participates in technical research and development to enable continued innovation within the infrastructure.

Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.

Accountable for Linux and Windows systems that support infrastructure, ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's core information systems. Provides guidance to new SAs for smooth onboarding.

Server infrastructure services include monitoring, patching, and systems management.

Designs, engineers, and maintains tools and operations for IT security services, delivering end-to-end security for IT infrastructure services.

Performs general technical troubleshooting and consults with development teams. Supports incident discussion and resolution.

Maintains and updates technical documentation for audit purposes and knowledge sharing for new resources.

Develops and deploys a security plan for the enterprise, including firewall, antivirus software, VPN, usage policies, software patching, and security updates, ensuring successful implementation and maintenance of defined standards.

Works as part of a team and provides 24/7 support when required.
