A leading global dairy company is seeking a Supply Planning Manager for a 2-year contract in Seremban, Malaysia. The role involves developing and managing supply network plans to achieve logistical performance and customer service levels. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience in supply planning within FMCG or manufacturing, along with strong analytical and leadership skills. Knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Excel are essential for this role.
Purpose of the Role:
To develop, monitor, and adjust supply network plans across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons by considering service level agreements, inventory targets, and planning parameters, in order to achieve required logistical performance and customer service levels at the lowest possible cost.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop supply (network) plans for the assigned scope, including HUB/OpCo and customer/supplier planning, balancing demand, inventory, and production capacity, and obtaining required approvals.
Track and control inventory levels to ensure alignment with service targets and working capital objectives; adjust planning parameters and take corrective actions when necessary.
Collect, assess, and evaluate planning inputs and parameters from internal and external stakeholders to support effective supply (network) planning.
Monitor actual performance against the approved plan and adjust priorities or revise plans through consultation when required.
Perform requested and ad hoc quantitative analyses related to forecasting and realization of assigned supply (network) plans.
Provide quantitative and qualitative insights through periodic and ad hoc reports, based on reporting guidelines, to support management decision-making.
Identify, evaluate, and address bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in supply (network) planning processes, procedures, and systems, and support implementation after approval.
Participate in assigned supply chain projects in accordance with project management guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 7 years of experience in supply planning or supply chain roles within FMCG or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of supply planning, inventory management, and demand–supply balancing to meet service and inventory KPIs.
High analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and experience using SAP / planning systems (APO, IBP).
Proven leadership ability to manage and coach planning teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven and adaptable mindset.
