Job description
Supply/ Demand Planner (FMCG Manufacturing)

Miaow Miaow Food Products – Batu Pahat, Johor

About the Role: Orchestrate Demand, Drive Supply

Are you a data-driven planner who thrives at the intersection of commercial strategy and operational execution? We are a leading snacks and biscuits manufacturer seeking a pivotal Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Batu Pahat.

In this role, you will be the central architect of our demand forecast, transforming market intelligence and sales data into an actionable plan that drives our entire MRP system. You will ensure we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time for our international and domestic markets.

Your Key Accountabilities
  • Core Planning & Analysis: Develop, maintain, and communicate a robust, rolling 12-18 month SKU-level demand forecast by integrating statistical models, commercial inputs, and market data.
  • Analyze historical sales, market trends, promotional calendars, and new product pipelines to create a highly accurate baseline forecast.
  • Monitor and report on KPI performance (MAPE, Bias, Inventory Health, OTIF), initiating root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary owner for loading the consensus demand plan into the MRP/ERP system, providing the single source of truth for procurement and production.
  • Facilitate the demand review portion of the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, synthesizing inputs to present a unified plan for management approval.
  • Continuously improve forecasting models and MRP parameters (lead times, safety stock) to enhance plan stability and efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with the International Business Development and Local Sales teams to incorporate market intelligence and account plans.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning to ensure demand feasibility and optimize production efficiency.
  • Work with Procurement to align MRP-generated material requirements with the demand plan and supplier lead times.
  • Act as a key liaison for the Customer Service team to resolve supply constraints and prioritize orders.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Demand Planning or Supply Planning within the FMCG, food, or snacks manufacturing industry.
  • Proven, practical experience working with an integrated MRP/ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Monitor) is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in and contributing to a formal S&OP process.
  • APICS/IBF certification (e.g., CPF, CSCP) is a significant advantage.
