Job summary

A prominent industrial company in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage all supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will implement strategies for efficiency, manage inventory levels, and develop vendor relationships. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred for client communications. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience in the clinical diagnostics and automotive industries, aimed at optimizing service levels and reducing costs.

Job description

A Supply Chain Manager oversees and manages the end-to-end supply chain operations of an organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  3. Oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of products to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  4. Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand, reduce excess inventory, and minimize stockouts.
  5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Analyze supply chain data to monitor performance, forecast demand, and make informed decisions. Produce products consumption reports and production costings.
  7. Lead and manage supply chain staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and manage risks related to supply chain disruptions.
  9. Work closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, production, and sales) to align supply chain activities with organizational goals.

A successful Supply Chain Manager typically has strong analytical skills, experience in supply chain management, and the ability to manage complex processes and teams effectively.
