A manufacturing company located in Kulai, Johor, is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to manage and evaluate supplier performance. Candidates should have a diploma and over 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the injection moulding sector. Responsibilities include developing audit plans, resolving quality issues using established quality tools, and collaborating with various departments to ensure supplier compliance. Travel for training in China may be required.

Supplier development and evaluation: Participate in the development, audit, certification and access process of new suppliers, and make a comprehensive evaluation of suppliers' manufacturing capability, quality assurance system, technical standard. Develop and implement regular supplier audit plan (process audit, system audit), tracking audit findings rectification and closure.
Supplier performance management: establish and maintain supplier quality files, monitor and statistic supplier's incoming material pass rate, batch pass rate, PPM and other performance indicators. Regularly organise supplier performance review meetings, feedback performance results to suppliers and drive their continuous improvement.
Quality Problem Solving and Improvement: Take the lead in dealing with major and recurring quality problems of suppliers' incoming materials, production process and clients, and guide suppliers to carry out root cause analysis by using quality tools such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone Diagram and so on. Review the corrective and preventive action reports (SCAR/CAPA) provided by suppliers and verify the effectiveness of the measures on site. Promote supplier process optimisation and quality improvement projects to reduce quality costs.
New Product Project Support: Participate in new project development, responsible for new supplier selection and quality capability assessment. Lead the APQP/PPAP process for new parts, review the PPAP documents submitted by suppliers and complete the approval. Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements for quality problems found during inspection and after-sales feedback, assist in developing and implementing improvement measures.
Standards and Collaboration: Promote the company's quality requirements and technical standards to suppliers to ensure accurate information transfer. Work with purchasing, R&D, production and other departments to provide decision support for supplier selection and management from the quality perspective.
Diploma or above.
Over 3 years of manufacturing supplier quality management (SQE) work experience, with injection moulding machine industry background is preferred.
Proficient in the use of Excel, PPT, Word and other office software.
Proficient in ISO9001 quality management system, proficient in supplier auditing methods (VDA6.3, etc.); a deep understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and other core quality tools, and have the experience of real-world application; proficient in reading complex mechanical drawings and technical standards, proficient in GD&T (geometric dimensions and tolerances); familiar with the injection moulding machine Familiar with the core components (hydraulic system, electrical control system, precision mechanical parts) of the processing technology, heat treatment process and common quality defect patterns.
Strong sense of responsibility, careful and conscientious, with good communication and coordination skills and team spirit; able to adapt to short-term business trips (supplier site audits and problem handling), on time to complete the work tasks.
Willing to travel to China for one-year professional training.
