An Amazing Career Opportunity for a SUPV, SECURITY located at i-Park, Kulai. Job ID: 42157. We are seeking a Security Supervisor to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures, supervising the security guard force, and overseeing landscaping and pest control.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property.
- Write or review security-related documents, such as incident reports, proposals, and tactical or strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a strong and visible presence to deter unlawful or inappropriate behavior. Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems to detect potential threats and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Preventive maintenance of ELV security systems (CCTV, door access systems, emergency door systems, photo beam sensors, visitor management systems) to ensure 24/7 operational readiness in compliance with standards and policies.
- Conduct annual internal audits for relevant departments to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Oversee and control the annual budget allocation for the security department, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive incidents and reports to Management when necessary; ensure transparency and timely corrective actions for security breaches.
- Train subordinate security professionals or other organization members in security rules and procedures.
- Assist in public enforcement, emergency management, local authorities’ inspections, internal fire drills, and other activities related to security systems.
- Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms following emergency response procedures.
- Monitor security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies and applicable requirements.
- Collect and analyze security data to determine needs, goals or program accomplishments; identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure and monitor pest control and landscaping; manage service providers per contracts.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery, including sharing service scope with procurement at contract ends or renewals.
- Review and revise department procedures as security setup changes or equipment increases; evaluate vendor and contractor performance.
- Act as an accountable backup to the Security Manager.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience as security management or in a similar position.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- High school diploma; further education in security administration is an advantage.
- Security certification from a recognized authority is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Hikvision and iVMS CCTV management software; experience with EntryPass access control software is an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with CCTV and door access systems and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- ISO 9001 certification is considered an additional strength for quality management and audit participation.
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written).
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals and specifications.
- Numerical ability for basic calculations.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with Windows operating systems and related software; experience with relevant platform solutions is an advantage.
Work Environment & Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with good ventilation; moderate noise levels.
- On-call and on-site support for emergencies; respond during major breakdowns of security equipment as necessary.
- Preference for night or rotating shifts when needed.
- Compliance with HID Global policies related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity and Environmental systems.
