Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Penang is seeking an experienced production supervisor to oversee operations on the production line. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead a team of operators to meet production targets. Candidates should possess at least a diploma and 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, along with strong analytical and leadership skills. The role requires effective communication across all levels and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

To communicate organizational needs, oversee employees' performance, provide guidance, support, identify development needs, and manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and the organization so that each is successful.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure 5S and safety regulations are followed & maintained.
2. Coordinate day‑to‑day activities in production line.
3. Ensure timely corrective action for machine break down.
4. Ensure proper labelling on the line.
5. Ensure all the operators meet their output and quality as per target given.
6. Ensure all equipment is calibrated before use.
7. To solve operators issue time to time (counselling, absenteeism, discipline).
8. To do training to operators and update attendance list.
9. Implement and maintain rules and regulation at their own department.
10. Ensure all the documents fill up and filing properly.
11. Responsible to take lead on stock count and equipment controlling.
12. Provide leadership and assistance in manufacturing function.
13. Ensure manpower and machine fully utilized.
14. Liaise with Engineering on problem solving.
15. Follow up MC issues.
16. Execute production planning.

Requirements

1. Diploma and above in any field.
2. Min. 3-5 years in manufacturing environment is a must.
3. Possess strong analytical ability to understand the scope & magnitude of problem, root cause identified and develop action plan to solve problems.
4. Ability to lead and influence people to get things done. Lead-by example with high integrity, enthusiastic on learning & improving.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to communicate & interact with all levels of personnel.
7. Able to perform 12hours rotating shift.
