Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and oversees the comprehensive maintenance and upkeep of all buildings, grounds, and facility equipment, as well as the manufacturing equipment critical to production. This role is vital in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of all production assets. The Supervisor will lead a team and collaborate with other professionals to reduce breakdowns, improve facility infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement in equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Reliability Management
- Strategy & Planning: Design, implement, and manage maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods, including the planning and scheduling of both planned and unplanned work.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical breakdown problems and lead the effective resolution of emergency and unplanned equipment failures and repairs.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Conduct and oversee quality inspections and execute comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on all facility and production equipment to maximize uptime.
- Improvement & Analysis: Identify areas for operational improvement, research solutions, and propose cost-effective recommendations to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Facilities & Project Coordination
- Facility Oversight: Coordinate and supervise general maintenance and upkeep activities for buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Renovation Projects: Coordinate and oversee the execution of renovation, upgrade, and installation projects within existing facilities.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Effectively communicate and liaise with client departments and internal stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and facility status.
Team Leadership & Compliance
- Personnel Management: Coordinate and supervise the daily work and development of maintenance personnel.
- Documentation & Training: Draft technical manuals, work instructions, and guidelines for the installation, commissioning, and operation of equipment and systems. Conduct equipment and system training for employees and users.
- Budget & Inventory: Coordinate with the HOD on budget development and maintain an accurate inventory of tools and consumables.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all statutory and legal requirements for equipment and systems are met through timely inspections, certifications by relevant bodies, and adherence to ISO standards (including conducting internal audits).
- Reporting: Submit comprehensive weekly reports on maintenance progress, audit outcomes, and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Significant, proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor at least 8 years and above or in a similar supervisory/leadership role within a maintenance or manufacturing setting.
- Maintenance Background: Extensive hands-on experience in maintenance, often starting as a technician.
- Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding and strong technical knowledge of:
- Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Diagnosing complex breakdowns, troubleshooting, and repairing both mechanical and electrical production equipment and facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
- Maintenance Strategies: Deep familiarity with implementing Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Facility Oversight: Knowledge of general upkeep for buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Project Management: Experience in coordinating and overseeing renovation, upgrade, and installation projects.
- Compliance: Knowledge of safety practices, regulations (JKKP, DOE, BOMBA), and adherence to quality standards like ISO.
