Job summary

A creative studio is seeking a Studio Videographer cum Video Editor in Kuala Lumpur. You'll be responsible for all visual production aspects, from lighting setup to video editing and color grading. Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years of experience in videography and a strong portfolio demonstrating cinematic visuals. This is a full-time onsite role with career progression opportunities to Head of Production. Accommodation provided after one year for high performers.

About the Role

At Eagle Digital, we are building a high‑performance creative studio designed to produce top‑tier video content for multiple brands. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Studio Videographer cum Video Editor who can take ownership of all visual production — from lighting and camera setup to editing, color grading, and final delivery.

You will produce content for our in‑house brands and service clients, delivering clean, cinematic, premium visuals that match our creative standards.

This role is perfect for someone skilled in lighting, camera work, editing, framing, and color, and who can confidently set up a studio environment and deliver polished final videos.

Job Details

• Location: YouCity 3, Kuala Lumpur (5‑min walk from Taman Suntex MRT)
• Employment Type: Full‑Time, Onsite
• Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 6,000
• Work Days: Monday – Friday
• Working Hours: 9 AM – 7 PM (1 hour lunch)

What You’ll Do

Studio Videography & Production

• Handle all studio shoots for in‑house brands and service clients
• Film talking‑head content, ads, interviews, educational content & brand visuals
• Set up full studio environments for talking‑head videos, interview‑style shoots, and podcast‑style recordings
• Operate cameras with mastery of exposure, lenses, framing & composition
• Maintain a consistent cinematic studio look across shoots
• Ensure shoot sessions run smoothly, professionally, and on schedule

Lighting Mastery

• Set up key, fill, backlight, accent & cinematic lighting
• Shape lighting based on mood, skin tones, subject placement & brand direction
• Maintain consistent lighting standards across shoots
• Strong understanding of soft vs hard light, diffusion & shadow control

Video Editing & Color Grading

• Edit videos for in‑house brands and service clients
• Convert LOG footage to Rec709 accurately
• Color grade for clean skin tones, cinematic tone & visual consistency
• Apply transitions, pacing adjustments, and final visual polish
• Export and prepare files for all social media platforms & campaigns

Production Workflow & Studio Management

• Work closely with Creative Director, Scriptwriters, Editors & Motion Designers
• Set up and maintain studio lighting, camera systems & equipment
• Collaborate during shoots with a studio assistant and an audio specialist
• Maintain a clean, organised, and shoot‑ready studio environment

Who We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• 2–5+ years in videography + editing (studio experience preferred)
• Strong portfolio with clean, cinematic visuals
• Hands‑on experience setting up studio environments for talking‑head videos, interview setups, and podcast‑style recordings
• Strong understanding of controlled studio lighting
• Skilled in editing & color grading

Technical Skills

• Proficient in DaVinci Resolve / Premiere Pro
• Strong understanding of exposure, dynamic range & skin tones
• Familiar with studio lighting equipment & modifiers
• Able to independently plan and execute full visual setups

Bonus Advantage

• Basic audio knowledge (microphones, room acoustics, gain staging) – useful when collaborating with the audio specialist.
