Job summary

A leading agriculture company in Selangor is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to provide design proposals for structural steel projects. The role requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural steel design. Candidates must be familiar with AutoCAD, Staad Pro, and Euro Code standards. You will work closely with project teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables while resolving technical issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural steel design.
• Familiar with Design Codes (British Standard, Euro Code, IBC code, or AS/NZS).
• Knowledge in light gauge steel design is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide design proposal and steel weight for building quotation.
• Perform structural steel design analysis, connection, and footing design.
• Coordinate and review Technical Master Plan and Civil Work Drawing.
• Work closely with internal department teams to resolve design issues.

To provide design proposal and steel weight for building quotation

Perform structural steel design analysis, connection, and footing design in accordance with the Standard design code.

To ensure all technical capabilities stay abreast with IBC and Euro code.

Carrying out all designs with engineering optimization.

To coordinate and review Technical Master Plan and Civil Work Drawing.

To perform and review Material take off and review 3D models as per design

To implement all design work and filing system.

Work closely with internal department team, or equipment team and project team to resolve any design issue.

Ensure quality and timely of all deliverables;

To work as team and problem solving on technical issues;

Perform duties with reasonable skill and care;

Familiar with Auto cad, Tekla and Trimble connect;

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Executive level with minimum 3-5 years’ experience in structural steel design
• Technical skill for Staad Pro, Ram connection and AutoCAD software
• Knowledge in Design Codes (British Standard, Euro Code, IBC code or AS/NZS)
• Knowledge in light gauge steel design is added advantage
