The role is responsible to support Coway Malaysia in building a strong, competitive, and future-ready product portfolio by driving strategic sourcing of high-quality, cost-effective appliances from global suppliers. The objective is to strengthen market competitiveness and deliver sales and growth targets through sustainable supplier partnerships, optimized sourcing costs and timely support for new product development.

Job descriptions:
Supplier Identification & Development

Identify, evaluate and develop reliable local and global suppliers to ensure a competitive, sustainable, and innovative supply base.

Cost Management & Negotiation

Lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal cost structures, contracts and terms that contribute to annual cost-saving and profitability targets.

New Product Development Support

Partner with Product Managers to provide sourcing solutions, cost benchmarking and supplier recommendations to enable timely and competitive product launches.

Monitor and manage supplier performance in quality, delivery, compliance and service, implementing corrective actions when necessary to meet business standards.

Track and analyze market trends, competitor sourcing activities and emerging technologies to provide insights that inform sourcing strategy and product roadmaps.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements and sustainability standards, while mitigating risks in the supply chain.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in related industries, mainly in strategic sourcing roles with regional or global scope.
  • Preferably in electrical products, appliances, or tech-related sectors.
  • Experience in supporting or leading sourcing aspects of new product development projects, including coordination with cross-functional teams and managing timelines.
  • Experience in managing SEA suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
