Job summary

A leading technology company is seeking a seasoned Government Affairs & Policy Manager to lead public policy engagement in Malaysia. The role involves cultivating relationships with government stakeholders, monitoring legislative developments, and providing strategic counsel on regulatory risks. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in government affairs, particularly in Malaysia's technology and manufacturing sectors. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory advocacy in Malaysia.
  • Experience with the Government of Philippines is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia’s political and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead government relations and policy advocacy efforts in Malaysia.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Cultivate relationships with key government agencies and industry groups.
  • Develop advocacy initiatives related to the Electrical and Electronics sector.
  • Represent the company in stakeholder engagements and policy dialogues.
  • Provide strategic counsel on regulatory risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align policy initiatives.
