A leading education communications firm in Malaysia is seeking a Communications Specialist to assist in crafting key messages, managing media relations, and supporting the execution of events. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree related to communications and 1–3 years of experience in strategic communications or digital media. The role offers opportunities to work across multiple projects and requires strong communication skills in both Bahasa Melayu and English, along with technical proficiency in digital tools and analytics.
Assist in crafting clear, consistent messages that reflect PTTI’s brand identity.
Support the development of communication materials aligned with the company’s values, mission, and key initiatives.
Support the preparation of press releases, media advisories, and public statements.
Maintain updated media contact lists and assist in managing media inquiries.
Monitor media coverage related to PTTI and prepare daily/weekly reports.
Assist in gathering information, drafting statements, and coordinating responses during crises.
Support team in implementing communication protocols to protect organizational reputation.
Assist in drafting internal announcements, newsletters, speeches, and memos.
Support initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and employee engagement.
Manage and update content across digital platforms, including social media, website, and email newsletters.
Monitor online engagement and analytics to support decision‑making.
Assist in developing digital assets such as visuals, captions, videos, and campaign materials.
Produce high‑quality written content including articles, reports, social media posts, scripts, speeches, and corporate documents.
Work closely with design and marketing teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Assist in coordinating communication with schools, partners, government agencies, and community groups.
Support relationship‑building efforts with key partners and audiences.
Conduct research on market trends, competitor communications, and audience insights.
Produce reports to support communication planning and campaign improvement.
Assist in planning and implementing communication, marketing, and branding campaigns.
Monitor campaign progress, compile feedback, and measure impact based on KPIs.
Assist in the planning and execution of events such as school tours, road tours, corporate launches, and community programs.
Coordinate logistics, materials, and communication assets for event success.
Support additional task or responsibilities assigned by supervisor or directors to support organizational objectives.
Prepare reports, minutes, documentation, and follow‑up items promptly.
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in strategic communications, PR, digital communication, marketing, or related roles.
Fresh graduates with strong portfolios and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Experience in the education industry or with government stakeholders (KPM, JPN, PPD) is an added advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Strong copywriting, storytelling, and presentation abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media management tools.
Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools (added advantage).
Basic knowledge of analytics tools (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, Bit.ly, etc.)
Ability to understand audience needs and tailor messages accordingly.
Strong research and analytical skills for actionable insights.
Strong teamwork, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Mature, proactive, and adaptable in fast‑paced environments.
Willing to travel for school tours, corporate events, and outreach programs.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends during events or major campaigns.
