Job summary

A leading industrial company in Malaysia seeks a qualified candidate for the position focusing on the maintenance and operation of fire tube boilers and utility systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in utilities management. The role demands adherence to safety standards, compliance with DOSH regulations, and independent work capability. This position requires a steam engineer grade 2 certification and effective troubleshooting skills to support operational efficiency.

Job description

Fully responsible to maintain and operation of fire tube boiler operation and adhering to safety programs, policies and regulations.

Responsible to support, maintain and operation of plants utilities such as air compressor, chillers, RO system and cooling tower.

Responsible to support, maintain and operation of all mechanical equipment related to boilers.

To liaise with DOSH to ensure the safety standards and regulatory requirement are met.

Ensure legal compliance on steam facilities and activities in line with DOSH and audit requirement.

To source and perform maintenance planning in order to avoid interruption for production due to resources shortage.

Responsible to evaluate and troubleshoot all boilers to achieve operation functionality and performance of the overall machines system.

To maintain all utility installations such that services are provided with minimum interruptions and at low cost.

Assist in implementing, maintaining and updating of food safety management system and environmental management system as per required.

To perform any other duties as assigned by your superior from time to time.

Requirements:

Professional Certificate / Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ hand on experience in engineering utilities management.

Minimum has a competent steam engineer grade 2 issued by DOSH.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
