Job summary

A leading chemical company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified professional for Boiler and Steam Turbine Operation. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Certification as a Steam Engineer Grade 2 is required. Responsibilities include optimizing control systems, ensuring water quality, and managing the operation during shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor Degree recommended majoring in Mechanical or Chemical process.
• Minimum 5 years working preferably in Boiler / Steam and Power Plant Operation.
• Possess Steam Engineer Grade 2.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To operate and optimize control of Boiler, Steam Turbine & Demineralizer Water Treatment System.
• To control demineralization water quality & steam quality as per required by process.
• To handle chemical for boiler, steam turbine & water treatment.
• To analyze water quality & steam & steam turbine performance.
• To follow all safety requirement such boiler operation, steam turbines, chemical handling and understand regulation regarding boiler operation according to Factories & Machineries Act.
• To complete daily check sheet and machine abnormal checklist.
• To involve in maintenance for all related machine.
• To manage Boiler man to operate Boiler, Steam Turbines & Demineralizer System during shift.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Minimum Bachelor Degree recommended majoring in Mechanical or Chemical process or any qualification related to steam/boiler and machineries

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years working preferably in Boiler / Steam and Power Plant Operation
• Able to work under pressure with loads of works at the same time

Expertise & Certificate

• Possess Steam Engineer Grade 2

Competency

• Able to read PFD, basic calculation, Office and computer/IT handling
• Familiar with Boiler & Steam Turbines maintenance
