Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To collaborate and work together with the Design team for the design concept arising from new projects proposal and confirmed projects.
  • Review customer inquiries on specification, sketches, drawings ideas, and related data.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of design to ensure minimum error in material take off.
  • Revise drawing and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancement.
  • Ensure job done adhere to applicable code, design and specification requirement, accepted engineering practices, and ISO 9001 requirement.
  • Work closely and liaise with engineers to ensure drawings are accurate and in keeping with design intentions.
  • Research and re-engineering new materials and methods of development to achieve a competitive edge.
  • Help to determine equipment needs and specifications for manufacturing of design parts.
  • Organize and maintain existing engineering records.
  • Handle and maintain engineering software.
  • Develop mechanical concepts, applies engineering theories and methods to investigate and identify solution for complex technical problems.
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of technology, customer, competition and government/regulation initiatives.
  • Any other duties and functions that may be assigned by the company.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die) or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably experience specialized in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and metal stamping processes.
  • Diligent with minimum supervision.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Work experience: Minimum 2 years in similar industry.
  • Educational background: Diploma/Degree mechanical related.
