Who You Are:
Responsible for coordinating the successful launch into production and volume ramp of LED products and/or technologies. The scope of work is multi-regional and spans multiple functions across the company. The position requires a technically grounded individual with a broad skill set, with priority on communication, project management and issue resolution.
Lumileds is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Lead to take responsibility for the development life cycle of Illumination LED products. In this role, you will lead and execute LED product development projects.
Lead a portfolio of LED development projects as the Technical Project Lead (TPL), ensuring delivery on time, cost, and performance targets.
Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to align project scope and product definitions with the product roadmap and market requirements.
Work with R&D teams to define development directions, design and execute systematic experiments, and down-select optimal product architectures.
Coordinate experimental, engineering and pilot builds; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process and integration issues.
Drive product characterization, qualification and reliability testing to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer requirements.
Manage project schedules and milestones; prepare product release documentation and execute product release workflows.
Strong relevant industry experience. Semiconductor or optoelectronics experience are strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting experimental data and making data-driven decisions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
Fluency in English. Mandarin proficiency (verbal and written) is preferred to support collaboration with China-based counterparts and stakeholders.
