Who You Are:

Responsible for coordinating successful launch into production & volume ramp of LED products and/or technologies. Scope of effort is worldwide / multi‑regional, and spans multiple functions across the corporation. The position requires a technically grounded individual with a broad‑based and varied skill set / experience, with priority on communication and issue resolution.

Position Summary:

Lumileds is seeking a highly‑qualified Staff Technical Project Lead to take responsibility for Development Life Cycle for Automotive/Non‑Automotive Industry.

In this role, you will develop & support product development activities for new product/package/technology.

What You Will Do:

  1. Technical Project Lead (TPL) to define, plan and execute Product Development program (Automotive and Non‑Automotive) according to BCP (Business Creation Process), Lead product development tasks, from early concept/prototyping, through design & development to product release (MPR).
  2. To support Worldwide R&D, TSM and Product Marketing in the execution of new/customized product and technology roadmap.
  3. Lead a cross‑functional team (local/ overseas) of engineers and technicians encompassing a wide spectrum of disciplines – Material Expert; Design; Product Lines, Finance, SCM, PMO, Quality and Reliability to achieve a timely and robust product release.
  4. Work closely with in‑house/External Product Lines in ramping new products to high volume after product release (MPR), yield stabilization & improvement.
  5. Utilize manufacturing process development experience (Automotive Standard)- parameters of significance, typical document types, industrial engineering fundamentals, etc.
  6. Complies with environment, security, health and safety requirements.

What You Will Bring (RequiredQualifications):

Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science with minimum seven years of engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably in LED industry.

Demonstrated capability of Product Development Program according to Automotive product development process/methodology (Business creation process; APQP).

Strong hands‑on experience with Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Process Flow, Control Plan and Failure Mode Effect & Analysis.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
