Staff Engineer – Plastic Process Industrialization

Join B. Braun Medical Industries as a Staff Engineer, specializing in the industrialization of plastic processes for medical devices. Your expertise will help shape the future of healthcare by improving efficiency, sustainability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine core aspects and success criteria for automation solutions in plastic molding and industrialization processes.
  • Process projects that encompass process engineering tasks while focusing on account investment and production costs; carry out equipment projects with expertise in molds, molding tools, extrusion, and injection molding machines.
  • Drive projects and processes in accordance with operating instructions and SOPs; assist in developing governance strategies for the BMI B Braun Technology Center – Asia Pacific.
  • Apply global quality requirements across B. Braun’s production sites worldwide; develop project concepts and feasibility studies on best manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and other functional teams to improve quality and yield of the production center.
  • Provide training concepts and recommendations for developing junior project managers.
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum five years in medical device sterilization, process development and validation; at least three years of leadership experience, able to motivate, coach and develop employees and collaborate with functional leaders.
  • Experience implementing process improvements, automation technologies, Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing; responsible for developing URS and FS.
  • Project‑management experience delivering projects on time and within budget; strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven passion for science and engineering; excellent discovery skills, curiosity and communication ability.
  • Risk assessment and management skills with urgency, big‑picture thinking, confidence, humility and self‑awareness.
