A leading medical device company located in Johor Bahru seeks a motivated Staff Embedded Systems Engineer to lead sustaining engineering efforts in a collaborative environment. The role involves supporting the design, development, and manufacturing of low-power, RF-controlled wearable medical devices. Candidates should have experience in embedded systems programming, a strong background in electronic circuits, and excellent communication skills. This position may require occasional travel to the US or other locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with Master's degree.
• Experience with electromechanical embedded systems, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, e.g., Bluetooth Low Energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis for design and manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate on design, development, testing, and transfer of products.
• Investigate product quality concerns and drive improvements.

Skills

Embedded systems programming in C/C++

Strong troubleshooting abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Detail-oriented

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, CE or related field

Master’s degree in relevant field
