Work you will do

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia. We provide risk transformation, data and modeling solutions focusing on some of the unique and complex issues our clients are facing in finance. Advise our clients how to optimise compliance programmes, standardise processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future.

You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence‑based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organisation.

The nature of the work we do includes:

  • Advise clients in the financial services sector on regulatory compliance and risk management across a wide range of areas, including regulatory reporting.
  • Participate in industry consultations on regulatory matters, develop solutions and value‑added propositions, and bring these to market.
  • Oversee in‑house advisory, training, and knowledge‑management activities.
  • Contribute input on global regulatory initiatives.
  • Support audit engagement teams with regulatory compliance matters.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment on project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from planning to execution and successful delivery.
  • Mentor and coach senior consultants, fostering leadership development, technical excellence, and career progression.
  • Lead business development activities, including proposal writing, client pitches, and market expansion initiatives.

Requirements
  • Possesses a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accountancy, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are strongly preferred.
  • Team‑oriented with strong collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude when facing challenges.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
  • Shows a keen interest in developing expertise in financial sector regulations.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
