Job Summary

We are seeking a curious, motivated, and talented Senior Product Engineer to accelerate the development and deployment of SiTime’s MEMS-based timing products. The Senior Product Engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvements on one or more products in production to ensure high yield and high quality while reducing product cost. This role expects the engineer to be adept at utilizing statistical methods for analyzing large datasets to identify yield issues and work with cross-functional engineering team members to resolve them. Qualified candidates can be a graduate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. The position will be based out of SiTime’s office in Malaysia (IPOH). It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Yield Optimization: Monitor product test yield, identify root causes for sub-par yield performance and provide technical support to maximize production yield.
• Cost Reduction: Identify strategies to maximize test throughput while maintaining high quality standards.
• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends that impact product yield and quality.
• Test Process Control: Collaborate with OSAT’s manufacturing team and SiTime engineering staff to maintain an optimized production flow.
• Test Program Optimization: Collaborate with SiTime Test and Infrastructure Development teams to implement strategies for increasing test throughput while maintaining high quality standards.
• Failure Analysis: Provide technical support for resolving failures identified on products released in production.
• Continuous Improvement: Enhance test efficiency via increased automation and product quality via improving test processes.
• Product Performance: Provide technical support for conducting Ongoing Reliability Tests and verify that product performance meets the desired specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidate should be a graduate in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in any of the following domains pertaining to Semiconductor Products: Product Engineering, Test Engineering, System Design and Data Analytics.

Desired Characteristics & Attributes

• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge on industry standard data analysis tools. Examples include - PDF Exensio, JMP, Tableau, R.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge on scripting languages such as Matlab, Python, Perl is preferred.
• Strong foundation of semiconductor physics and device fabrication processes is preferred.

The actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
