The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, developing, and optimizing production processes at Apollo to improve productivity, product quality, safety and cost efficiency. This role requires solid technical expertise and prior hands-on experience in process improvement, troubleshooting, and implementation of best practices within a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization & Improvement: Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, yield, and reduce cost/waste. Lead production trials, testing, and validation of new methods, equipment, or materials.
- Technical & Engineering Support: Provide technical expertise to resolve process-related issues on the production floor. Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, R&D, Warehouse and Planning teams. Prepare and maintain accurate process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Quality & Compliance : Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, Halal, and regulatory/industry standards. Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for any quality issues. Contribute to internal and external audit readiness.
- Project Management & Implementation : Support new equipment installation, process modification, and line expansion projects. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. Track and monitor project milestones, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Identify and propose CAPEX/OPEX improvement project.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure all process improvements and modifications meet HSE requirements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with production processes, safeguarding people and environment.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- i) Education & Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline). Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in process engineering, preferably within food manufacturing or FMCG. Demonstrated success in process improvement and production optimization projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Hands-on troubleshooting and process optimization skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies (certification preferred). Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
