Job description

Good Juju (GJBC Sdh. Bhd) is fast growing multi-vertical wellness & lifestyle brand specialising in personal training, small group training, physiotherapy, F&B, events, and education. We are building a finance arm that supports this growth and are looking for a reliable, detail oriented Senior Finance Executive to take ownership of our accounting operations and monthly reporting.

You will work closely with the founders to keep our accounts accurate, compliant, and organised. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, documentation, and producing clean financial data that leaders can rely on.

About the role
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
  • Handle daily accounting entries, bookkeeping, AR and AP.
  • Manage vendor payments, staff claims, expense documentation, and petty cash.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers.
Month End Closing
  • Complete month end closing within 3 to 5 working days.
  • Prepare preliminary P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure proper accruals and completeness of transactions.
Reporting Support
  • Maintain revenue and cost trackers.
  • Prepare clean reporting packs for management review.
  • Organise financial documentation in a structured, audit ready manner.
Compliance and Statutory
  • Prepare SST submissions and coordinate with tax agents and auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards.
  • Maintain required statutory records and documentation.
Systems and SOP Support
  • Update and manage accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Support improvements to internal finance SOPs and control processes.
  • Ensure financial workflows are followed across departments.
Additional
  • Experience improving workflows or implementing accounting processes.
  • Familiarity with multi-department cost tracking.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting or forecasting (not mandatory but useful).
  • Ability to work in fast-growing or start-up style environments.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Part qualified or progressing in ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
Experience
  • 3 to 6 years experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
  • Strong foundation in bookkeeping and month end closing.
  • Familiarity with SST, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
  • Experience with SMEs or multi entity businesses is a plus.
Skills and Traits
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and documentation discipline.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables).
