A global technology leader is seeking a Senior Advanced Chemical Engineer in Kuala Lumpur. You will develop and implement solutions, oversee chemical processes, and ensure compliance with safety standards while working within a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and significant industry experience in hydroprocessing technologies. This role also involves up to 25% travel for projects.

Qualifications

As a Sr Advanced Chemical Engr here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and improvement, provide technical expertise and guidance, and ensure the successful execution of projects. Additionally, you will oversee the design, construction, and operation of chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

In this role, you will impact by providing technical leadership, strategic direction, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to manage the extensive internal and external customer contact that the position demands.

  • Experience in commissioning, startup, operation, troubleshooting and optimization of refinery plants would be a plus

  • The position requires significant travel (~25%) and associated personal flexibility. Some trips can be planned, but ability to travel at short notice is a requirement.

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adjust to changing priorities.

  • Good problem solving and dispute resolution skills

  • Good computer software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Unisim or other process modeling experience

  • Knowledge of UOP or similar Hydroprocessing technologies

  • Field Experience (Operations and/or Technical Services)

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s in chemical engineering

  • 5+ years industry experience

  • Experience on UOP or similar Hydroprocessing technologies such as Hydrotreating, Hydrocracking etc.
