Ansell is looking for a Specialist, Product Portfolio to join our team in Cyberjaya.
This position is critical in supporting category strategy execution by ensuring that product data, lifecycle processes, and regional implementation activities are managed with accuracy, consistency, and speed. The Specialist, Product Portfolio serves as the operational and analytical backbone of the Category Management function enabling the Scientific Business Unit to deliver portfolio excellence, compliance, and market responsiveness. This role assists the Regional Category Managers (RCMs) in executing the regional product and category strategy, ensuring effective lifecycle management, specification control, product improvement, and data accuracy across internal systems. The Specialist serves as a vital liaison between global and regional functions in addition to coordinating with marketing, sales, regulatory, and quality teams to ensure efficient product implementation, regional readiness, and compliance.

What your role will be?
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Regional Category Management, you will have the opportunity to:
Product Development and Improvement Projects
- Assist RCM team in gathering and consolidating updates and feedback from marketing, sales, regulatory, and quality teams.
- Update and maintain project trackers, dashboards, and online tools to monitor progress and milestones.
- Coordinate and follow up with GCM team on product testing and qualification activities with internal and external laboratories.
- Assist RCMs with product launches and improvement initiatives, including preparation of technical documentation, ERP setup, and communication materials.
- Ensure regional readiness for launches, coordinating closely with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Product Lifecycle & Data Management
- Assist in lifecycle actions such as product introductions, modifications, and phase-outs in line with category strategies.
- Maintain data accuracy across systems (PIM, SAP, and other internal trackers).
- Manage product specification files, data sheets, packaging artwork, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate packaging changes and maintain the Packaging & Artwork Master List for assigned factories.
- Assist with product audits, documentation requests, and regulatory data updates.
Product and Technical Assist
- Respond to product-related inquiries from the commercial teams.
- Coordinate product samples, evaluations, and feedback with global, regional, and factory stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a repository of frequently requested product information to accelerate response times.
- Provide analytical summaries and assist in preparing competitive benchmarking reports to support portfolio decisions.
- Prepare and regularly update the competitive intelligence & benchmarking of product portfolio.
- Help coordinate with plants and factories for customer audit request.
- Build libraries of most common customer request to facilitate rapid fulfilment.
- Help maintain Sample Management System in APAC region for commercial product sampling.
Product Communication and Training Assist
- Summarize and document finalized product changes for internal and external communication purposes.
- Maintain standardized templates and update communications for product change announcements.
- Coordinate VOC (Voice of Customer) sampling programs and feedback tracking with regional sales teams for new product introductions.
- Assist in product training deployment, including preparation of presentation decks, training modules, and online seminar coordination in collaboration with the marketing teams.
- Maintain and update regional product price lists and ensure alignment with approved pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with regional sales team for VOC sample coordination and feedback tracking.
- Facilitate coordinate deployment of product training including PPTs deck & online seminar.
- Maintain all the regional price list price for product portfolio.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
- Conduct and maintain benchmarking of product attributes, quality, and performance against competitors.
- Track and summarize market insights, customer preferences, and competitor trends for RCM review.
- Assist in regional analysis of product performance, sales trends, and profitability metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management Assist
- Liaise with R&D, Regulatory, and Quality teams to ensure product performance and compliance with scientific and cleanroom standards.
- Assist in risk assessments, corrective actions, and related documentation.
- Partner with Supply Chain and S&OP teams to align on product forecasting, capacity planning, and availability.
- Collaborate with the Category Manager on rationalization and product optimization initiatives.
Sustainability & Digital Enablement
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives related to product materials, packaging, and circular economy objectives.
- Assist in digital enablement and system improvements that enhance product visibility, transparency, and e-commerce readiness.
What will you bring to Ansell?
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a science, engineering, or technical background is preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in product management, portfolio support, or technical marketing preferably in the glove, PPE, life sciences, or cleanroom industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SAP or Product Information Management (PIM) systems is an advantage.
- Effective communication, analytical, and coordination skills; able to interact effectively with regional and global teams.
- Organized, meticulous, and structured with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Initiative-taking, creative, and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborative, dynamic, and resourceful approach to challenges.
- Fluent in English; additional regional language proficiency is a plus.
- Willingness to participate in global conference calls outside normal working hours when required.
- Occasional regional and international travel up to 25 % for internal or external meetings as needed.
