A leading company in operations is seeking a Specialist in Operations & Planning & Controlling located in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. About the job Specialist Operations & Planning & Controlling
  • Perform transactions in the company's MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system timely with no impact to operations.
  • Execute inventory and WIP related transactions in GPN (including but not limited to bonus, scrap lot, lot owner changes) timely without any operational impact, addressing errors as needed. Transactions performed based on reports from contract manufacturers or internal requestors.
  • Regular monitoring and reconciliation of inventory/WIP accuracy between Contract Manufacturing Partners MES and company MES/ERP systems, drive and execute process-compliant reconciliation.
  • Compare and reconcile inventory between Contract Manufacturer and company.
  • Investigate causes of discrepancies and work with cross functional teams and contract manufacturers to recover and correct discrepant data.
  • Troubleshoot and recover inventory and WIP discrepancies and errors.
  • Work with cross functional teams and contract manufacturers to recover and correct the errors and discrepant data.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence of errors.
  • Prepare RCCA (root cause corrective action) documentation where necessary.
  • Physical scrap disposal management, ensuring physical unusable inventory is disposed as per biz requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams (planning, procurement etc) and Contract Manufacturers on regular physical scrapping of unusable inventory per documented guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance of physical scrap process as per biz requirements.
  • Regular inventory count audit, interface to OSAT Finance and Contract Manufacturing partners.
  • Drive inventory count audit as per defined frequency with Contract Manufacturing partners and guidelines from OSAT Finance.
  • Investigate, reconcile, explain and recover any discrepancies from the inventory count audit.
