The Fashion PR cum Copywriter (Branding & Marketing) is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication, branding, and marketing initiatives to strengthen CITY Fashion School's presence locally and internationally. This role supports the school's growth by positioning it as a leading fashion education institution through effective storytelling, public relations and targeted marketing campaigns.
Public Relations (PR)
- Develop and manage PR strategies to enhance brand visibility in the fashion and education industries.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, fashion publications, influencers, industry partners, and international collaborators.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, announcements, and official statements.
- Coordinate media coverage for fashion shows, exhibitions, graduations, collaborations, and international events.
Copywriting & Content Development
- Create compelling copy for marketing materials, websites, brochures, advertisements, newsletters, and social media platforms.
- Ensure all written content aligns with the school's brand voice, tone, and positioning.
- Develop fashion-focused storytelling to highlight student achievements, faculty expertise, and industry collaborations.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain high language and branding standards.
Branding
- Strengthen and maintain a consistent brand identity across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, and videographers to produce brand-aligned visuals and content.
- Support rebranding and brand expansion initiatives, especially for international markets.
Marketing & International Expansion
- Plan and execute fashion-related marketing campaigns to support student recruitment and international exposure.
- Work closely with the marketing and admissions teams to promote programmes to local and international audiences.
- Support international partnerships, events and campaigns with appropriate branding and communication materials.
- Monitor fashion and education market trends to keep branding and messaging relevant and competitive.
Reporting & Coordination
- Track campaign performance and media coverage, and prepare basic reports for management.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of marketing and PR initiatives.
Qualification Required
- Minimum of Master/ Bachelor's degree in Fashion Communication, public Relations, Marketing, Mass communication, journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in fashion PR, branding, marketing, or copywriting (fashion industry experience preferred).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a good command of English.
- Knowledge of fashion trend, fashion media, and international branding practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Creatives, proactive, and details-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Experience working with fashion brands, fashion schools, or creative industries.
- Familiarity with social media platform, digital marketing, and content planning.
- Experience in international /Local or cross-cultural marketing is an advantage.
