Job summary

A leading special needs education center in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Special Needs Teacher (Interventionist) to support children through play-based ABA therapy. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team and parents, implementing individualized learning strategies. No prior experience is necessary; however, a diploma or degree in a relevant field is required. This role is an excellent stepping stone for a career in child psychology or special needs education.

Company Introduction

ABC (Autism Behavioral Center), awarded with South East Asia Business Award as a Best Private Autism Intervention Clinic 2023, is a center focused on providing early intervention to children with Autism, learning and behavioural difficulties. We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable ABA Therapist. Prior work experience is not needed but a willingness to learn and passion in the field of early learning and intervention is a must!

To excel in this role, you must be playful, creative and connect warmly to children. As an ABA Therapist, you must be willing to adapt, be resilient emotionally, physically fit to play and have a sense of ownership and responsibility. To get you ready, you will receive intensive training prior to starting as a therapist.

This role will provide you a good stepping stone if you want to pursue a career in child psychology, early intervention or in special needs education.

Job Description
  1. Support child development through intensive play‑based interactions and clinical programs set by case supervisors.
  2. Work with toddlers, pre‑schoolers, school‑going children, teenagers and adults.
  3. Execute individual and group programs.
  4. Work closely with the team/parents to implement goals.
  5. Provide in‑center services, home‑based or school‑based support (to be determined per case basis).
Job Requirements
  1. Available to join in November 2025/January 2026.
  2. Minimum Diploma or Degree holders in relevant field.
  3. Open to commuting to and from clients home(s) (for home based therapy).
  4. Work well in teams and collaborative in nature.
  5. Work well under pressure and open to feedback.
