Job description

Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to students' learning needs and abilities.

Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students' disabilities and learning challenges.

Understand different sensory needs and basic understanding on sensory processing disorder.

Provide direct instructional support in academic, social, and behavioral development.

Utilize various teaching methods, including differentiated instruction, to engage students with diverse learning needs.

Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies to optimize learning outcomes.

Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to address students' holistic needs.

Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes independence and socialization.

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on progress and areas for improvement.

Implement classroom management strategies that accommodate the emotional and behavioral needs of students.

Utilize adaptive tools, technology, and resources to facilitate learning.

Guide teaching assistants or support staff in assisting students effectively.
