Job description

Lead a section of sourcing professionals to deliver cost, quality, delivery, and risk resilience for project and BAU needs. Own supplier strategy and execution for assigned commodities/modules, driving quarterly performance reviews, vendor assessments, AVL robustness, and continuous improvement per company SOP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Strategy & Governance: Translate business and project requirements into sourcing strategies, supplier segmentation, and AVL development.
  • Drive interdepartmental team to establish strategic sourcing plan for the Group of Companies in meeting company's strategic intent.
  • Own Key Vendor Quarterly Performance Summary and ensure timely closure of followups.
  • Sourcing Execution & RFQ Management: Lead RFQs, prepare quote packages, clarify technical/commercial terms, consolidate bids, and run structured negotiations.
  • Vendor Assessment & Performance: Plan and conduct vendor assessments by using vendor assessment form; ensure improvement actions and timelines are committed for low-rated criteria.
  • Risk Management & Business Continuity: Identify critical suppliers/components, diversify sources, and maintain contingency plans for special processes.
  • Conducting market research, performing cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to meet yearly cost reduction target.
  • Drive sourcing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
  • Proactively identify and develop suppliers/vendors list and develop strong partnerships with vendors and key suppliers.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and execute contracts policies, contract pricing, global pricing; extended warranty; follow up quotations, process, terms and conditions with suppliers vendors to secure terms that are in the company’s best interest.
  • Constantly research, evaluate, and manage suppliers/vendors performance to ensure suppliers/vendors consistently maintain good quality product to meeting company & customer’s quality requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and develop sourcing executives; standardize templates and ways of working.
  • Participate in teams meeting for sourcing, provide guidance and execute the implementation of policy, projects and changes initiatives.
  • To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
  • Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in sourcing/procurement/supply chain roles, with at least 2–3 years in leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle), PLM tools, advanced Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of risk management and supplier performance metrics.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and coaching ability, excellent negotiation and analytical skills, e-ective stakeholder management, high integrity and compliance awareness.
  • Preferred: Experience in global sourcing and managing overseas suppliers; familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Quarterly Business Review (QBR) Coverage: 100% completion with actions closed within agreed timelines.
  • Cost Improvement: Annual savings vs. baseline for assigned commodities.
  • AVL Robustness: Dual-source coverage for critical parts/processes; approved suppliers meeting NDA/MNDA status.
  • Vendor Assessment Compliance: 100% completion of planned assessments on schedule.
  • RFQ Cycle Time: RFQ-to-award lead time within target.
  • Documentation Integrity: ERP/PLM BoM sourcing attributes complete and audit ready.
