Job summary

A fresh produce importer located in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated individual for supplier sourcing and purchasing activities. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, conducting quality checks, and managing inventory systems. Candidates should have a minimum of SPM/O Level qualification and hands-on experience with non-halal products. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin being an added advantage. The position involves shift work including weekends and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with non-halal products is essential.
• Proficiency in inventory or procurement systems (POS, ERP, or Excel).
• Experience in a butcher shop environment is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for products.
• Conduct quality checks and supplier visits to maintain standards.
• Manage purchasing activities using inventory or procurement systems.
• Monitor product performance and stock levels for informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
