Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor Bahru seeks a Supply Chain Specialist to manage materials and supplier performance. Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline with at least 2 years’ experience in Material/Supply Management or SPM with minimum 5 years of experience in Material/Supply Management.
• Preferable with Material/Supply Management in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review all data in BOM & responsible to source materials/components.
• Prepare quote package & monitor RFQ through process.
• Manage all suppliers with highest ethical standards.
• Plan, source & develop new potential vendors.
• Manage vendor performance and maintain performance indicators.
• Participate in regular cost-saving programs.

Skills

Experience in Material/Supply Management

Job description

Review all data in entire BOM & responsible to source materials / components per MPN, Manufacturer, Description & Drawings

Prepare quote package & monitor RFQ through process & documenting all concerns, discrepancies & issues

Manage all supplier in a manner consistent with the highest professional, ethical, moral & legal standards

To plan, source & develop new potential vendors at the competitive price, quality & lead time

Manage vendor performance, consolidate & maintain all suppliers performance & indicators

Embark on cost reduction activities & participate in regular cost saving program

Coordinate interaction between the section in the Material department & all other department & subsidiary of equipment group.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline with at least 2 years’ experience in Material/Supply Management or SPM with minimum 5 years of experience in Material/Supply Management
