Responsibilities

A sourcing manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the procurement process within a company. Their main role is to ensure that the organization obtains the necessary goods and services at the best possible price and quality to meet its needs.

Supplier Management: Identify, vet, onboard, and manage relationships with new and existing suppliers.

Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies for procuring goods/services to achieve cost savings and quality.

Negotiation: Lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.

Performance Monitoring: Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.

Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, conditions, and new technologies.

Collaboration: Work with internal teams (finance and operations) to align sourcing with business objectives.

Cost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.

Education and Experience

At least 5 years of experience in a related field.

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong organizational and negotiation skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
