Job summary

A multinational company in Selangor seeks a Sourcing Excellence Assistant to support their Purchasing Team. This role involves ensuring compliance with sustainability principles while managing sourcing systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business or related fields, experience in procurement, and familiarity with SAP/SAP Ariba. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Qualifications

Overview

Acts as a key support to the Purchasing Team, ensuring sourcing activities align with compliance, sustainability, and efficiency principles. Helps maintain consistency in sourcing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Sourcing Excellence Assistant plays a crucial supporting role in ensuring the organization\'s indirect sourcing actions are in accordance with compliance principles, social responsibilities, sustainability vision, and simplification/efficiency. Supports the Purchasing Team in sourcing information systems, helping to ensure knowledge consistency within the indirect sourcing team.
  • Assists the Purchasing Team in leading sustainability topics related to human rights protection, environment preservation, business integrity, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Collaborates with the Country Purchasing Head and Regional Excellence Lead to support the development and execution of solutions.
  • Monitors performance reporting dashboards to maintain satisfactory ratings.
  • Assists the Purchasing Team in ensuring compliance with local and global policies, working closely with the Internal Control Manager and County Purchasing Head to achieve satisfactory ratings during internal audits.
  • Act as the key coordinator for Social Audits across partner production sites, working with external auditors to help ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and human rights standards, and assisting in driving remediation plans for non-compliant findings.
  • Supports the process of keeping the local purchasing policy up-to-date, including assisting with adapting it to periodic updates and coordinating the review and sign-off process with relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the key owner of the business process hub (local intranet portal), helping to ensure all content, including the purchasing policy, vendor creation process, active vendor list, and price request process, remains accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supports the vendor creation and modification processes, acting as a gatekeeper to help ensure compliance and working closely with shared service functions for efficient task execution.
  • Assists with the overall coordination of the Procure-to-Pay system (SAP Ariba), supporting key users, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinating annual and ad-hoc system updates.
  • Supports the Purchasing Team for transformation and system implementation projects.
Qualifications
  • Exposure to MNC / FMCG / shared services environment
  • Comfortable with systems, policies, and documentation
  • SAP / SAP Ariba experience is a strong advantage
  • Degree / Diploma / Professional Certification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related area.
