Sorting Center / Distribution Center Manager

The Sorting Center Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the sorting/distribution center. This role ensures smooth parcel processing with a focus on operational efficiency, cost control, service quality, safety, and team development.

Operational Management
  • Oversee and coordinate all sorting center activities to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure timely and accurate parcel processing to meet delivery schedules.
  • Enforce company policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to support business growth.
Process Optimization
  • Streamline sorting procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Drive standardization of processes across the center.
  • Analyze operational data and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Manage workforce planning to meet operational demand, especially during peak seasons.
  • Recruit, train, and lead sorting center teams.
  • Set KPIs, monitor staff performance, and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Build a safe, positive, and results‑oriented workplace culture.
Quality Control & Safety
  • Maintain service standards through robust quality control measures.
  • Monitor misclassification, loss, and complaints; implement preventive solutions.
  • Manage emergency situations and ensure workplace safety compliance.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
  • Maintain clear communication channels between local and international teams.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to ensure seamless operations.
