BMC Software Value and Solution Engineering (VSE) professionals are highly consultative, technical, and business experts that deliver the clear vision and strategies required to help customers achieve their desired business outcomes and value. The VSE team partners closely with Sales and customers to capture requirements and articulate how BMC’s unique and differentiated capabilities can best serve customer needs. This is a highly visible team working with our most successful sales teams to support the most prestigious companies around the world.

As a Solution Engineer, you will work directly with Sales and Presales organizations in a techno-commercial role to create strategies, timelines, and deliverables that align customers' initiatives to the BMC Control M Product line. Those solutions help the world's largest companies automate time-sensitive, business-critical workflows and data pipelines.

• Partner with sales teams using a consultative approach to interpret complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions delivering both business and technical value.
• Simplify the communication of technical and business content to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
• Actively partner with customers to document their current state, including metrics, to define the correct solution and support business case creation.
• Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts based on customer insights.
• Enable prospects and customers to understand how BMC can meet their requirements and become their trusted advisor.
• Learn, participate in global projects, challenge yourself, and innovate to solve everyday problems.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:

• Embrace and uphold BMC values daily.
• Experience in a presales or similar technical-commercial role.
• Broad awareness of client technical architecture and emerging technologies.
• Subject matter expertise in Workload Automation/Orchestration solutions.
• Fundamentals of public cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Understanding of data pipelines, data concepts, structures, and DevOps principles.
• Ability to create and deliver compelling demonstrations.
• Fluency in English; Cantonese is a plus.
