Position Purpose

The Solution Designer will identify key consultants globally, understand market trends in heat transfer solutions for Power/Energy & Oil/Gas markets with main focus on Greentech, work out heat transfer solution concepts with key consultants and actively influence the design as well as support the front‑end sales team in customer meetings. This role will serve as a key partner between front‑end sales and the application engineering team, ensuring a build‑up of relationships to key EPCs / End Users & Start‑ups and supporting the development of customer‑centric heat transfer concepts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify key EPCs / End Users & Start‑ups globally and build up relationships.
  • Act as first point of contact for all requirements of key EPCs / End Users & Start‑ups.
  • Understand market trends in cooling, heating, and heat recovery solutions, especially Greentech applications such as carbon capture plants, hydrogen plants, direct air capture and similar decarbonization directions.
  • Work out heat transfer solution concepts with key EPCs / End Users & Start‑ups and actively influence design concepts.
  • Support quote/no quote decision process in alignment with front‑end sales.
  • Review and qualify RFQ's technically and clarify any ambiguities before handover to solution engineering.
  • Actively support front‑end sales in customer meetings.
  • Provide feedback to product development team on market trends and address needs for product adjustments or development.
Competency or Position Requirements (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of decarbonization environment, heat transfer concepts, thermodynamics and understanding of strategic relationship building.
Education & Experience (required levels)
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, thermodynamics, heat management, or related field.
  • Understanding of HTRI preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in thermodynamic and 1‑2 years of experience in decarbonization market environment.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or products‑based industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an international environment and managing teams.
